Why have a plain concrete front walkway when it can have so much more personality?
The original concrete walkway needed to be broken up and cleared. We used a hydraulic hammer to efficiently demolish the existing walkway, and then we expanded the footprint of the landing area.
Each slab of irregular flagstone was custom fit into an aesthetic layout. You have to be good at puzzles or tetris to make this work!
The largest slabs were laid first, then gaps were fitted with smaller pieces, keeping the surface level throughout, so the customer can have the smoothest path for their stroller.
The result is a beautiful walkway that complements the exterior of the home!
You’ll also notice we added 2 ft. border beds on either side of the walkway and filled it with long-blooming perennials.
The front beds were also redesigned with fresh foundation plants, and bordered with 4x5x9″ Belgian block cobblestones.
